Comtech Telecommunications Corp. receives $1.3 million contract for military communications amplifiers

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. has announced that during the second quarter of fiscal 2020, its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., which is part of Comtech's Commercial Solutions segment, received a $1.3 million follow-on order from a domestic integrator for Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) for a U.S. Government Satellite Communications application.

The Ka-band TWTAs ordered for this challenging Army application are part of Comtech Xicom Technology's industry-leading high efficiency TWTA product line and will be delivered in 2020.

Fred Kornberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., said, “Comtech is proud to continue our support for this important Military Communications program with our industry-leading Ka-band TWTAs. The amplifiers enable worldwide satellite communications for Army personnel and are designed for difficult environmental conditions in ground-mobile applications.”
