Keighley Laboratories earns JOSCAR qualification and Nadcap re-accreditation

Keighley Laboratories, based in Keighley in West Yorkshire, has demonstrated its continued commitment to quality after achieving JOSCAR qualification and Nadcap re-accreditation. Operating since 1920, Keighley Laboratories are specialists in the analysis and testing of metals.

Nadcap, formerly known as the National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program, is an industry-managed and standardised approval program for companies working within the aerospace engineering, defence and related industries.

Managing Director of Keighley Laboratories, Debbie Mellor says, “The re-accreditation of Nadcap is proof of the quality and level of excellence that our company strives to deliver. The team is continuously trying to improve our processes to exceed our clients high expectations for quality, and this is why the Nadcap renewal is so important to us.”

Jay Solomond, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Performance Review Institute, said: “Nadcap accreditation is globally recognised as a hallmark of quality, and is a major accomplishment. For many years, the aerospace industry has incorporated Nadcap into its approach for handling risk, as it demonstrates compliance to industry standards and customer requirements. I am delighted, therefore, that Keighley Laboratories Limited has achieved Nadcap re-accreditation for Materials Testing (MTL), and that all their hard work continues to pay off.”

The Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR) is a programme for the aerospace, defence and security industry. Holding the JOSCAR approval reduces the time, cost and resources needed to provide information to major buying organisations, such as BAE Systems, Rolls Royce and the Ministry of Defence.

Debbie Mellor has said, “We were approached by a potential client who invited us to join JOSCAR. The process assesses compliance to business parameters and demonstrates commitment and credentials to the industry. As gaining a place on the register is strictly by invite only and requires the successful completion of a rigorous qualification process, receiving recognition of this is a testament to our commitment to quality and business development. Holding the JOSCAR qualification is a huge benefit to our company and will only increase future opportunities”.

Keighley Laboratories delivers technical excellence in the areas of sub-contract and metallurgical testing, analysis and laboratory services to its customers. Keighley Laboratories has extensive experience gained from working with companies within industries such as Passenger Transportation, Marine, Aerospace, Defence, Rail, Oil and Gas.
