Ovzon receives US$14.6 million order from US DoD for renewal of SATCOM-as-a-service

Ovzon has received, from their partner Intelsat General Communications (IGC), a contract renewal of Ovzon’s SATCOM-as-a-Service solution for the United States Department of Defense (US DOD). The 12-month renewal, valued at US$14.6 million, will have a start date in mid-December 2021 and represents a full extension of Ovzon’s baseline services through December 2022.

Ovzon’s SATCOM-as-a-Service to the US DOD has grown substantially throughout 2021 to include expanded global coverage and a significant increase in the number of Ovzon T6 terminals. This renewal does not include other product and service awards received by Ovzon from the US DOD during 2021. Ovzon’s ultra-small mobile satellite terminals integrated with industry-leading satellite network performance, provide an unmatched level of strategic, operational and tactical agility to the US DOD and other users with critical missions.

"We are honored to continue delivering Ovzon’s SATCOM-as-a-Service to our US DOD partners. We deeply value the trust emplaced in us by this important customer. The Ovzon team comes to work every day with a full appreciation of the critical missions our services are supporting around the world, and we remain committed to excellence by exceeding expectations for performance, agility, resiliency and innovation," says Per Norén, CEO of Ovzon.
