A larger stand and a range of innovative products helped draw the visitors to PPM Systems at this year’s DSEI defence and security show in London’s docklands.
Attracting much attention was the UK company’s new Crossbow system, which provides scanning and decoding for mission-critical surveillance of the electromagnetic environment. Incorporating the latest software defined radio (SDR) technology, it confers a strategic advantage to special operations forces while allowing them to work remotely in relative safety.
Also well received was the Rodent 4 military RF over fibre system, which enables SIGINT antennas to be deployed at a long stand-off distance, allowing personnel to safely obtain radio spectrum intelligence from the intended target zone. Designed for operation in extreme environments, the dual band, wideband system is typically deployed by remote controlled vehicle, but can be carried by hand if necessary.
Other popular products included the impressive base transceiver station and lightweight plastic filter from PPM’s new partner Corry Micronics.
On the back of this performance, PPM Systems has booked an even larger stand for the next DSEI in 2021.
