This new version of Bittium’s highly secure and robust public safety smartphone makes it possible to enable LTE Broadcast features thanks to ENENSYS’ technology.
Security and reliability are key for public safety officers and ENENSYS has been working with Bittium for a number of years providing support for their specialized products. LTE Broadcast has become an essential aspect of communication as technological advances affect the quantity and quality of information to be distributed to in-the-field officers. eMBMS can serve thousands of users in a limited area, no matter the eNodeB or network congestion – and every device (car, PTT device, robot) receives the data at the exact same time. As well, LTE Broadcast is more efficient than unicast even with a low number of devices and it enables up to 2.5 faster file downloads in a semi-congested network. Given that eMBMS reception is more efficient, it also allows for increased battery life.
